Reflection of the Day: Each One Has A Part

As Jesus instructed the Disciples to wait in Jerusalem to receive the "promise" he shared the purpose of the gift. They were to be empowered to assist in the spreading of the Gospel. Each had different part but all played an essential role.

We must not lose focus of our assignment. Regardless of your particular role it must be understood that it is a part of greater goal, the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your part is important.

 PENTECOST IS COMING!!! Today is Pentecost Sunday! Bishop Fields is asking all who can to be dressed in white as we celebrate Pentecost. A Pentecost Revival will begin Sunday, May 27th thru Frinday, June 1st ( No Service Monday, May 28th). See Bishop Fields for further details.
May 28, 2012:
 The Church and Office will be Closed on Monday, May 28th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. You may call the church office and leave a message on the answering service and we will return your call as soon as possible.
June 1-28, 2012:

23rd Annual Church Anniversary Services begin Friday, June 1st! Our Theme: "God's Bountiful Blessings: A Past to Revere, A Present to Cherish and A Future to Embrace." 2 Corinthians 9:6-11. Weekly services include but not limited to:

 Elisabeth’s Tent is planning an exciting agenda for our Jr. Miss and Teen Girls’ Retreat on Saturday, September 15th. Girls save the date on your calendars! More information is forthcoming. November 17, 2012:
The W.L. Bonner Birthday Committee is sponsoring a trip to see the play, "Jonah" on November 17th, in Lancaster, PA. The price is $140 per person, which includes lunch, your ticket to the play and transportation costs. You may take advantage of the 6-month payment plan which is as follows: $25 due in April and $25 due every month thereafter through August and an $15 payment due in September. All funds must be paid in full by October 7, 2012. You may see Sis Donna McCants or any birthday committee member for more details.

Deacon Tillman would like to meet with the Brotherhood immediately after service today in the choir stand.

If you are 70 years and over and are interested in attending the International Missionary Department's State Diocese Mother's Breakfast to be held at the Holy Convocation this year in Greensboro, NC, please submit your name to Mother Edith Basil. There is no cost for seniors 70 and over.

Our Sunday School is offering two new classes. One has already begun for males ages 18-25. Please take advantage of these classes and get empowered with the Word of God - ...that we might be thoroughly furnished unto all good works. II Timothy 3:17. See Sister Mary Bennett for more detailed information.

Beginning Friday, June 1, 2012, the Refuge Temple Church family will celebrate its 23rd Church Anniversary. Posted in the social hall is a list of the teams. If your name is not listed on a team, please see or contact Sis Joyce Burton in the church office no later than Sunday, April 1, 2012. See Sis Lillian Wright for more detailed information.

The Mid-Atlantic Diocese State Women's Council Banquet will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012. For more detailed information is forthcoming.

On June 9, 2012, the Solid Rock Graduation will be held at Martin's Crosswinds. More detailed information is forthcoming.

On Tuesday, June 19th there will be a Cabinet Meeting at 7:30pm in the Social Hall with Bishop Fields. For questions or concerns you may see Bishop Fields.

Do you love fellowshipping with your sisters in Christ? Do you like/love Bowling? Do you want to exercise and have fun doing it? Well, now is your chance! Join the Refuge Temple Ladies’ Bowling Team. For additional detailed information see Sis Theree Basil or send her an email at ladybasil1996@gmail.com.

The Mother's Board will have prayer every fourth Saturday from 8am-11am and will meet every fourth Sunday after morning worship service. All are welcome to join them.

The Nurse's Unit of Refuge will be conducting blood pressure screenings every 4th Sunday between 9:30am-11:00am in the Baby Room located in the lobby of the church. You may see Sis Doris Clark for more information.

Creativity, vibrancy, consistency and self motivation! The ABYPU are looking for project team leaders to work with our gem & rubies (teen's and children's ministry).
